Here are some more pictures taken yesterday when me, Amber and Frankie spent almost the entire day in Hinton. From top to bottom: Me in front of the river, Frankie and Zak fishing, the crawdad that pinched the crap out of me, picture taken behind the John Henry statue, The John Henry Statue.
As most of you know my brother was in a bad motorcycle accident on Tuesday May 31st. He broke his femur in his right leg, his elbow on his right arm and his left arm is broken. He had surgery on wednesday and now has a steel rod in his leg, pins and wires in his elbow and a metal plate in his arm. He should only be in the hospital a few more days. He is lucky he is even alive. Here is a picture of him before the wreck. I thought posting a picture of him in the hospital might be a little much.
Yesterday I got to see BOTH of my best friends. Not together, which is always the best way to see them. But none the less I spent a bunch of time with both. And I got to meet Madeline for the first time ever. I saw Kim from about 11:30am till a little after 6pm and then I saw Alicia from about 8pm until 2:30am. So it was nice. Here are some pictures
The clouds have looked so awesome this evening, I got a few really nice pictures and now its getting ready to storm. Thought I would post one of the pictures.
I FINALLY got my hair cut today. I think I got about 3 or 4 inches taken off. So its all healthy now, its just going to take some getting used to because its soooo short. Here are some pictures:
Amber, Frankie and I went to Hinton and a few other places yesterday. Basically travelled all over the country side. It was fun. We took alot of pictures. Here is one of the Hinton Dam.
Last night I went to one of Brooklynn's ball games and afterwards watched the ending of Frankie's sister's, Caitlyn's game. Here are some pictures of Brooklyn and then one of Caitlyn and Patrick (Frankie's brother) :)
Kim sent me a email tonight with pictures of her little girl Madeline. I thought I would share one that I think is adorable. I just love the face she is making. Too cute!
Its been snowing for over 24 hours now. But it keeps melting away. I have a feeling tonight it might actually stick some. Here is a picture taken just 15 minutes ago of Stormy looking out at the snow.
Finally! Thunderstorms are in the forcast for the next couple of days. I am very excited about that. I absolutely love thunderstorms. I don't know what it is about them but they intrigue me. So here is a picture of a storm rolling in on a beautiful day, taken last year sometime:
I went to Steve's welcome home party this weekend. He was pretty trashed and I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt. Here is a picture of him loving the wall. haha :)
We got quite a bit of snow here yesterday and overnight. I would say about 6 inches, maybe more depending where you live in this area. I think that is the most we have had at one time this whole winter. But its nothing compared to some of the snowfall amounts we have had in the past. I still get excited about it, I don't care if its only a inch! :)
Someone dropped a kitten off at my house about 6 months ago. Her leg was broke, she was dirty and she was starved. I took her in, but didn't want to keep her. For about a week I kept her in my bathtub when I wasn't home, I was afraid Sadie would play with her and possibly hurt her. But now she is completely healed and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. Her name is Stormy. Here is a picture of her laying in my sink.
I'm originally from southern West Virginia but moved to the Raleigh, NC area in April 2008. The mountains of WV will always hold part of my heart, its a very beautiful place. But unfortunately there isn't much opportunity there to grow as a person. I love live music and photography and try to get in as much of both as I can. This blog is just basically little inserts from my life. I like to share my pictures as much as possible and hope others will enjoy them as much as I do!
